Fiber, Ink Design is the blog for a very small business run by Judith Brodnicki in Omaha, Nebraska. A graphic designer by profession, Judith also sews and knits in what spare time is left in the day.
Judith’s most recent graphic design work has been for the independent film Tell Them of Us, directed by Nick Loven. She designed the DVD art, the clamshell and the interior booklet. A related project, Centenary Stitches, used Judith’s expertise in both graphics and knitting as she did the design for the Centenary Stitches pattern book (Northern Lace Press) as well as translating a dozen vintage patterns for publication.
Judith’s knitting patterns have appeared on Knitty (Seanair zipped cardigan, Parhelion pullover, Quill Lace socks) and on the Knit Picks web site (Acadia pullover, Glynnys pullover, Go Team cardigan, Honey Tweed pullover, and Appassionato socks). You can find her designs on Ravelry, too.
If you’re looking for some fine writing by women of the high plains and great plains (including 3 poems by Judith), her award-winning cover design is featured on the book Times of Sorrow, Times of Grace (Backwaters Press).
